Programming a VCU/BMS

A look behind the scenes: Here we are programming and optimizing the VCU/BMS (on-board computer) of the Nimos 305, which we completely electrified for a customer. When programming, we make sure that the vehicle performs optimally, and it also delivers the desired driving and operating behavior.

This Nimos is the first of a series that we are electrifying for a customer. Our engineers take the vehicle apart, scan the available space and then design all the necessary parts so they can be professionally produced.

At the digital level, we tune the VCU/BMS so that the driving and operating characteristics are almost identical to the original fuel-powered vehicle. Once the whole process is complete, we take care of the inspection at the RDW so that the vehicle can be put into service immediately.

Electrification offers numerous advantages, such as lower fuel costs, suitability for zero-emission zones and noise reduction at the construction or work site.
